This 2-day course will cover the materials and history of full arch implant rehabilitation with a modern approach and outlook to incorporate facial injectables such as Botox and fillers. The new aesthetic patient wants optimal function and cosmesis. As dentists, we are best equipped to tie in all available materials and medications such as facial injectables to deliver a high level of comfort, appearance, health, and wellness to our patients. Comprehensive patient evaluation for the best dental and facial aesthetic and therapeutic treatment outcomes using Botulinum Toxin and Fillers will be covered and practiced in the hands-on portion. Injection techniques and practical training for the usage of Botulinum toxins for bruxism to relieve TMJ and TMD, also cosmetically including Frontalis, Glabellar, and Orbicularis Oculi, Masseter, Temporalis, and Orbicularis Oris muscles, and more. We will understand the physiology and pharmacokinetics of neurotoxins and injection treatments, the indications and contraindications for all facial injectable neurotoxins, Botox®, Xeomin®, Dysport®, and Jeuveau™. Injection techniques and practical training for the usage of dermal fillers for the lower face, including lips, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and corners of the mouth, using anatomical landmarks. The physiology and pharmacokinetics of neurotoxins and injection treatments, as well as how to use pharmacologic agents to treat complications and side effects, will be covered.
